Transportation minister receives US ambassador

Manama, May 30 (BNA): Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed received the United States Ambassador to Bahrain, Justin Hicks Siberell. They reviewed the historic relations between Bahrain and the US in various fields and discussed a number of issues of common interest, and ways of enhancing them especially in the fields of transportation and communications. The minister briefed the diplomat on the most important projects and initiatives of the ministry in the fields of transportation and communication, stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation and benefiting from experiences in both countries. "Bahrain and the US have strong bilateral relations in various fields, including the transportation and communication sector, and we are ready to work with the ministry to enhance cooperation and exchange of experiences in this field to further success,” the ambassador said.
