Tribute to Premier on mega project

Manama, Sep. 4 (BNA): A tribute was paid to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa for endorsing a mega development project which will boost the tourism infrastructure in Muharraq. Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa hailed the plan which, she said, will bolster sustainable trade and cultural tourism infrastructure in Muharraq. She underscored the importance of the project which supports the BACA-led efforts to complete the Pearl Trail scheme by 2018, the year the City of Muharraq will be celebrated as the Capital of Islamic Culture. In a statement today, she hailed the Premier's farsightedness and firm dedication to promote sustainable development and conserve Bahrain's gains and vestiges, which bear witness to its millennia-old civilizations.
