Turkish literary prowess to be showcased at ADIBF 2013

Abu Dhabi, April 24, 2013 (WAM) - The 23rd edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) running from the 24th-29th of April at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), welcomes today more than 900 exhibitors from the Arab world and beyond including several Turkish publishing houses and literary agencies representing Turkey's young and vibrant publishing scene. Organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) and held under the patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, ADIBF is considered as the most professional trade fair in the MENA region as well as an exciting and ever-evolving publishing event fostering partnerships and bringing together book enthusiasts, scholars, librarians, schools and universities, authors, copyright agencies and publishing houses from all over the world to celebrate culture, art and literature. The Turkish national stand, organised by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, will house key participating bodies from the Turkish publishing industry comprising of Anatolia Literary Agency, Hizmet Vakfi Yayinlari, Kayi Literary Agency, Litera Agency, Nurcihan Kesim Literary Agency, Nesil Publishing Group, Nar Publishing, Yaran Publishing, Surat Publishing and Timas Publishing Group. Along with the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism's efforts in supporting publication of Turkish literary works in foreign language, a growing number of resilient Turkish literary agencies on the same hand, display a strong interest in continuing to identify more remarkable foreign works to be published in translation into Turkish language. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
