Two people injured in crane collapse

BANGKOK, Sept 14 (TNA) - A construction crane fell onto vehicles, a shop house and an electric pole in Soi Saladaeng 2 in Bangkok’s business area. The incident occurred at about 9am in the middle of Soi Saladaeng 2 in Bangrak district. A woman in a car and a worker in the crane truck were trapped in their vehicles. The power was cut to ensure the safety for the rescue operation. The injured were helped and sent to Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. A motorcycle was damaged but the driver could flee before he was hit. The area has been closed to traffic to allow officials to clear the debris from the road. (TNA)
