UAE Consulate General in Kurdistan region of Iraq launches assistance programmes in cooperation with ERC

KURDISTAN, 8th July, 2015 (WAM)--The UAE Consulate General in Kurdistan region of Iraq, has distributed food aid over the last two days to the refugees and displaced people, in coordination with Emirates Red Crescent. The food aid was delivered to the displaced Iraqis and Syrian refugees through supervision of the UAE Consulate General there to mark Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, which coincides with the 19th of Ramadan each year - the day that coincides with the death anniversary of the UAE's founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Over 33, 000 people benefited from the assistance, which included the food stuff items and drinking water.
