U.A.E. National Archives to manage digitisation of Napoleon Museum in Italy

Abu Dhabi (WAM): The U.A.E. National Archives, affiliated with the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, and the Italian Ministry for Heritage and Cultural Activities, have signed a cooperation agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, the National Archives is to manage the project of the digitisation of the Napoleon Museum on the Italian Island of Elba and renovate its library, which includes about a thousand historical books. The agreement was signed by Dr. Abdullah Al-Reyes, Director-General of the National Archives, and Antonia Pasqua Recchia, Secretary-General of the Italian Ministry for Heritage and Cultural Activities. Dr. Abdullah Al-Reyes said that the signing of the agreement was based on the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Archives, with coordination between the National Archives and the U.A.E.
