U.A.E. participates in the 6th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations in Bali

BALI: The U.A.E. took part in the 6th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations (UNAOC) in Bali, Indonesia, on 29-30 August 2014. Prime and foreign ministers of the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations Group of Friends community which was initiated by the UN IN 2005 were present. Abdullah bin Mohammed Saeed Ghobash, Minister of State, led the U.A.E. delegation to the event, which brought together many foreign ministers, political leaders, representatives of international and regional bodies, the private sector, civil society groups, youth, the arts, and the media as well as donor agencies and foundations, to vigorously foster cross-cultural dialogue and understanding. Bearing the theme, "Unity in Diversity: Celebrating Diversity for Common and Shared Values", the Forum focused on strategic yet practical measures that generate and sustain common values and a shared sense of responsibility among all stakeholders, partners and constituencies toward the realisation of the mandate and objectives of the Alliance. – Emirates News Agency, WAM – http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates/1395269197309.html
