UAE's Family Development Foundation receives global excellence certification from EFQM

ABU DHABI, 20th May, 2015 (WAM) -- The Family Development Foundation (FDF) has received a certification of global excellence from the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), based on the results of the field assessment carried out by the EFQM experts in April according to the latest European excellence standards for 2013. In a statement, Maryam Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Director-General of the FDF, said, "This international achievement is part of the internal institutional excellence and developmental programme, launched by the foundation at the beginning of 2014, in implementation of the directives of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood. Her Highness had directed for preparing an integrated programme of excellence in internal aspects of the organisation as well as institutional excellence in all other outputs." Al Rumaithi added that the support and encouragement provided by Sheikha Fatima in adopting international standards of excellence is behind the organisation's main motivation for its achievements. She emphasised that all employees in the organisation are ready to continue to work hard to transform the institution as per global standards and thus achieve the aspirations of the government and promote its vision.
