UK Minister of State visits Beit Al Quran

Manama, (BNA): British Minister of State for the Middle East, Alistair Burt, hailed Bahrain’s leading role in promoting the culture of religious coexistence and enhancing social harmony and human dignity in the region. The British minister paid a visit to Beit Al Quran at the invitation of the King Hamad International Center for Peaceful Coexistence and This is Bahrain activity. Where Beit Al Quran founder Abdullatif Kano received the visiting delegation and presented a brief on the most important showcased items, specifically the Hall of Mecca, Hall of Medina, as well as Hall of Jerusalem, which mark the beginning of writing the Quran in the first Hijri century and contain rare manuscripts that can be seen only in Bahrain. He paid tribute to Beit Al Quran’s effort to document the history of tolerance in Bahrain, saying visitors would feel the features of coexistence and peace in all parts of Bahrain, which reflects the royal policy to disseminate the spirit of tolerance to other countries. British Ambassador to Bahrain, Simon Martin, said the British delegation’s visit reflects the strong longstanding cooperation between the two kingdoms.
