UN Secretary-General Arrives in Doha

Doha, November 19 (QNA) - HE Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres arrived Saturday in Doha to attend the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which takes place Sunday at Al Bayt Stadium. Upon his arrival at Hamad International Airport, His Excellency and the accompanying delegation were welcomed by HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, HE Director of the Protocol Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ibrahim bin Youssef Fakhro, and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Representative for the Gulf States and Yemen and Director of the UNESCO Regional Office in Doha, Salah El Din Zaki Khaled.
