UNESCO Director-General visits heritage houses

Manama, June 27 (BNA): On the sidelines of her participation in the 42nd World Heritage Committee sessions being held under the royal patronage on 24 June-4 July, UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay paid a visit to the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture, Research and the heritage houses affiliated to it.  Azoulay was briefed on the Bahraini cultural heritage and the most prominent literary events organized by the Center since its inception in 2002.  Azoulay praised the role of Center in reviving the cultural heritage, expressing admiration for the architectural details of the heritage houses.
