UNICEF Envoy In Tehran: Islam Supports Children’s Rights

Tehran, March 5, IRNA - Representative of the UN children's Fund (UNICEF) to Iran Mohammad al-Monir Safi ad-Din said on Sunday Islam supports children's rights. In a message, he said there are many commonalities between Islamic approach to children’s rights and those of international conventions on children’s rights. He also thanked Iran's Majlis and the Guardians Council for the approval of new amendment to the Islamic penal code in favor of children./end
