UoB President receives Moroccan ambassador

Manama, April 7 (BNA): President of the University of Bahrain (UoB) Dr. Riyadh Hamza received today Moroccan Ambassador to Bahrain Ahmed Khatabi who congratulated him on the royal trust in appointing him as UoB President. Dr. Hamza stressed that cooperation with the Moroccan University of Al-Qarawiyyin will further enrich UoB by availing of the experience and programmes of one of the most glorious universities in the world. Education Minister and UoB Board of Trustees Chairman Dr. Majid Al Nuaimi signed on March 23 with President of the University of Al-Qarawiyyin Dr. Amal Jalal the executive programme per which Bahrain will host a branch of the university to provide academic programmes for the Master Degree and Ph.D. in cooperation with UoB. Dr. Hamza and the Moroccan ambassador expressed satisfaction at progress in implementing the executive programme, hoping the move will serve post graduation students given the good reputation of the University of Al-Qarawiyyin.
