U.S. Condemns Houthis' Seizure of UAE-flagged Merchant Ship

Washington, January 05, 2022, SPA -- The United States of America has condemned Houthis' seizure of a UAE-flagged merchant ship off the coast of Al-Hudaydah, Yemen. In a press statement yesterday, the U.S. Department of State Spokesperson Ned Price stressed that these actions interfere with freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and threaten international trade and regional security. Price urged Houthis to immediately release the ship and its crew unharmed and to cease all violence that hinders the political process to end the war in Yemen. -- SPA
