Uzbek woman threatening to blow up herself at Dubai Public Prosecution managed successfully

Dubai: Dubai Police has managed successfully to handle the explosives threat situation at the Dubai Public Prosecution premises. Yesterday, an Uzbek woman walked into the Dubai Public Prosecution building accompanied by her child and threatened to blow up herself if she didn't receive help to settle a personal dispute over proving fatherhood of her child. In a quick response to the threat, the building was immediately evacuated and a team from the UAE national security and Dubai police started negotiations with the woman. Negotiations with Zulfiya Hamraeva from Uzbekistan commenced at 12:00 noon yesterday and continued until 1:30 am. The Uzbek woman demanded to establish paternity and claimed an Emeriti was the father of her child from a relation outside marriage. In cooperation with Dubai Police Rapid Intervention Unit from the General Department of Authorities and Installations Security, successful negotiation resulted in arresting the Uzbek woman at the Public Prosecution with no use of arms and further investigations will be carried out. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
