Value of Best Bahraini Voluntary Project Award to be raised

Manama, Aug. 2 (BNA): President of Bahrain Basketball Association and Honorary President of the Good Word Society Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa directed to raise the value of the Best Bahraini Voluntary Project Award, which is held in conjunction with his Voluntary Work Award, so that the value of all the prizes in their different categories reach BD 7500. Shaikh Isa said promoting voluntary work in Bahrain has an active role in achieving the sustainable development plans carried out by the government under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. He stressed the role played by the Best Bahraini Voluntary Project Award, after launching it five years ago, in developing voluntary work through distinguished projects in various fields. He directed the organising committee to continue working alongside the owners of those projects to serve the interests of the nation and citizens. Shaikh Isa pointed out the importance of continuing the efforts to promote the culture of voluntary work as a social practice, calling on the jury to continue working to choose the best projects that will be honoured during a distribution ceremony in September.
