Video art installation project on Iranian filmmaker Kiarostami to liven up Tehran gallery

TEHRAN,Jan.3(MNA) -- Iranian artist Alireza Amir-Hajebi planned to set up a video art installation on acclaimed filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami in the Arya Gallery. Entitled “Snow White”, the project reviews thoughts, ideas and the character of Kiarostami. “With the help of interviews, images and short films, the project indirectly talks about Kiarostami,” Amir-Hajebi said. The video project actually tries to reflect the artist’s personal interpretation of Kiarostami’s thoughts. As the artist claims, the project is experimental following no pre-defined specific model. Amir-Hajebi will also be setting up an installation with the central theme of water to give a nostalgic image of water. Kiarostami is a director of world classics such as “Taste of Cherry”, “Ten”, “The Wind Will Carry Us” and “Certified Copy”. The exhibit will be running until January 11 at the gallery located at No. 11 Zarrin Alley, off Vali-e Asr Ave.
