Voluntary work a token of gratitude to nation, says Saif bin Zayed

Abu Dhabi (WAM): The voluntary work in service of larger Emirati house is an exemplary token of gratitude to this nation and its leadership, on provision of decent living conditions for all, said H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. Sheikh Saif was speaking to 120 Emirati and expatriate volunteers of community police, who participated in organisation of a number of exhibitions, conferences, forums and awareness campaigns, in which the voluntary hours of a policeman exceeded 1, 000 hours. He welcomed the volunteers, expressing his satisfaction about the community elite who join hands to highlight the prestigious image of the UAE. Sheikh Saif stressed keenness of the government on encouraging the volunteers to become more active in service of the nation. For his part, Lt. Colonel Mubarak bin Muhairom, Director of the Department of Community Police, said the voluntary work is the best humanitarian work in service of community, adding that the community police were looking forward to adopting institutional societal programmes to ensure the voluntary work culture. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
