W Sumatra Police Put Four Fugitive Robbers On Wanted List

Padang, W Sumatra, Oct 11 (ANTARA) - Police have put four men involved in a recent armed robbery in the West Sumatra provincial capital of Padang on the wanted list, a spokesman said. "We have put them on the wanted list for arrest," director of general crime detective unit at the West Sumatra provincial police Snr. Comr. Adi Karya Tobing said here on Thursday. He said a team of the detective unit has fielded its members to several areas to find their hideouts. "In chasing after the fugitives, the team is assisted by the West Sumatra police`s Mobile Brigade (Brimob) unit. We have distributed their photographs to all city police in West Sumatra," he said. One of the fugitive robbers still possesses a firearm, he said. "They are very dangerous so we will make a constant effort to capture them," he said. Based on the confession of six suspected robbers arrested some time ago, they have formed a syndicate with the four fugitives when they met at the correctional facility, he said. Earlier, police arrested two people suspected of involvement in an armed robbery at a shop selling basic necessaries in Padang, on October 2, 2012. The robbers shot Syafrizal (32), the owner of the shop.
