W20 to advocate for women's empowerment, issues for G20 Declaration
Jakarta, March 2 (ANTARA) - W20 will collaborate with engagement and working groups at the G20 to ensure that women's empowerment and gender issues are included in the G20 Declaration. "W20 will work with engagement groups and working groups, in this case, the government to ensure women's empowerment and gender issues will be included in the G20 Declaration," Chair of Women W20 Hadriani Uli Silalahi stated during a webinar as seen from here on Wednesday. Silalahi remarked that W20's mission was to push for a commitment to eradicate discrimination, promote the economic inclusion of women-owned MSMEs, increase access for rural and disabled women, and press for the integration of gender-just health services. She affirmed that cooperation with engagement and other working groups was made in the form of a joint declaration. To meet those ends, Silalahi said her administration had hosted various side events, including that held in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. She stated that the side event in Banjarmasin on March 23-25, 2022, will discuss health-related issues.
