Wife of Niger's president commends UAE's Sharjah Charity International for humanitarian efforts

SHARJAH, 17th December 2015 (WAM) --- Dr Malika Issoufou, wife of the president of Niger and head of the Tattali-Iyali Foundation, praised the Sharjah Charity International for helping people in need.
During her visit to Sharjah, Issoufou noted that the charity has a long history of conducting humanitarian operations in Niger's poor regions.
She also noted that she came to Sharjah mainly to thank Sheikh Issam bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Sharjah Charity International, and members of the board for the development and relief operations in Niger.
Issoufou hoped that these projects will be expanded in Niger to include poor areas in the capital Niamey suffering shortage of clean drinking water.
The head of the Tattali-Iyali Foundation proposed an agreement with the Sharjah Charity International on digging water wells in the African country, and said the foundation will provide plots of land for the planned project.
Education and health projects for remote areas in Niger are also being discussed by the two sides during Issoufou's visit to Sharjah. – Emirates News Agency, WAM - http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates/1395289312329.html
