Works Minister receives RLSB president

Manama, Sep. 25 (BNA): Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister, Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf, received here today the President of the Royal Life Saving Bahrain (RLSB), HH Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa. Works Ministry’s Municipalities Affairs Undersecretary, Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, and Director-General of the Southern Area’s Municipality, Essam Abdullatif, were present. The minister stressed the key role played by RLSB in preserving the marine environment and ensuring public safety for sea users, including citizens and residents, highlighting the continuous cooperation between the Works Ministry and RLSB. HH Shaikha Nayla praised the role played by the Works Ministry to preserve the marine environment and public safety. She gave a detailed presentation about the RLSB’s goals, work methods and efforts to take advantage of the available potentials to protect the environment and develop its work, stressing the need for sea-goers to abide by the safety rules, and the importance of providing protection and rescue services at public beaches and swimming pools. She highlighted the Works Ministry’s role in putting world-standard safety guidelines at beaches, stressing the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two sides.
