Works Ministry clinches key award

Manama, Oct 4. (BNA): The Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning has clinched the Electronic Communication Prize for the 9th consecutive year. The Works Affairs was declared winner of the prize during the eGovernment Excellence Award ceremony, which was held under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology (SCICT) Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa. Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Esam bin Abdulla Khalaf was presented with the Best Award for Electronic Participation on Social Media Websites. He commended the efforts of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology (SCICT), chaired by Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa, in developing e-services in Bahrain. He paid tribute to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa for his directives to streamline and fast-track services and step up communication with citizens.
