Workshop on post-clearance audit held

Manama, Apr 18 (BNA): The Customs Affairs yesterday held a workshop titled (Post-clearance audit) in cooperation with World Customs Organization (WCO). Customs Affairs Chief Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa patronized the four-day workshop with the participation of 20 Customs officers. Customs Chief said that the workshop assists in following up customs procedures and scrutinizing business records, systems and commercial data. He added that the post-clearance audit is a vital control method for customs and other border authorities. He noted the importance of the workshop in developing the customs officers' skills and improving customs procedures. He praised the WCO's role in uplifting customs services and performance in member states.
