World Elderly Day celebrated

Manama, Oct. 1 (BNA): Health Ministry's Undersecretary Dr. Ayesha Bu Enq patronised a luncheon for the elderly marking the World Elderly Day celebrated on October 1st each year. Dr. Ayesha Bu Enq commended the role of elderly citizens in building and developing the society and new generations. She said the ministry's various departments coordinate with civil society organisations, governmental and public institutions to provide the necessary care to the elderly to preserve their right in dignified livelihood, good health, preventative and medical treatment as well as suitable facilities to senior citizens.
