Yemen eager to cooperate with Turkey in modern dwelling construction

SANAA (A.A) - Yemen expressed on Saturday willingness to cooperate with Turkey in construction of modern dwellings. Omer Abdullah Alkurshomi said that Housing Development Administration of Turkey (TOKI) was a source of inspiration for his country. "We want to  cooperate with TOKI in constructing modern dwellings and we want to benefit from Turkey's experiences," Alkurshomi told AA correspondent in an exclusive interview. Alkurshomi said Yemen had shanty house and irregular urbanization problems, and therefore aimed to construct 10,000-15,000 dwellings a year. The minister said they would pave the way for firms that could bring quality of Turkish construction industry to Yemen. Moreover, Alkurshomi said they would work for Yemen's stability after holding February 21st presidential elections without any problems.  (Reporting by Sinan Yiter)
