Yemeni Youth and Sport Minister to QNA: Qatar Dazzled the World, Organized Best World Cup Edition

Doha, December 11 (QNA) - HE Yemeni Minister of Youth and Sport Nayef Saleh Al Bakri said that the State of Qatar dazzled the world with its distinct organization of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The Minister added that taking into account the World Cup organization and preparations, the splendor of facilities and infrastructure, and the ease of movement between stadiums and cities make this Arab-Qatari edition, the best World Cup edition in the 92 years old history of this tournament.
In exclusive statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA), His Excellency affirmed that Qatar's hosting of the World Cup is a source of pride for Qatar, the Arab and the Islamic worlds, noting that the Arab region's hosting of a global event the size of the World Cup was a beautiful dream, yet now the dream became a reality. Qatar was able to realize this dream and host this great event, which will have a great impact on changing the world's view of Qatar and all Arabs in general and their capabilities, in addition to being the starting point for organizing other major global events in the near future.
His Excellency also praised the multifaceted legacy that this world tournament will leave, including a sport, cultural, social and humanitarian legacies, in addition to strategic relations and partnerships with various other international organizations, given that the State of Qatar will contribute, through the legacy of this World Cup edition, to support the construction of stadiums in many developing countries. This will help in the development and spread of football throughout the world.
His Excellency extended his thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership in the State of Qatar represented by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and to HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, for their efforts to make this tournament a success in this impressive manner, and to HE the Minister of Sports and Youth Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, and all those in charge of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, which is responsible for organizing the tournament.
The Yemeni minister described the media campaigns against Qatar's hosting of the World Cup as desperate and miserable. He also added that the campaign of questioning Qatar's capability of hosting the World Cup that started ever since it won the hosting bid in 2010 all the way until the opening ceremony, have failed in face of Qatari determination, perfection and creativity, pointing out that each country has a system, a law, customs and traditions, and it is a must that others respect the specificities of Qatar, being the host country.
