Youth Minister receives Bahrain delegation participating in 34th edition of Ship for World Youth

Manama, Dec. 26 (BNA): Minister of Youth Affairs, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, affirmed that encouraging participation of the Bahraini youth in international initiatives and activities reflects the vision of the Ministry of Youth Affairs that seeks to benefit from all programmes aimed at empowering the youth, honing their talents and developing their leadership capabilities. The minister was speaking as she received today the Bahraini youth delegation participating in the 34th edition of the Ship for World Youth (SWY) programme which will set off on February 6. The programme aims to consolidate friendship between the youth across the world, promote cultural exchange and cement the principle of leadership work among the youth. The Minister of Youth Affairs asserted that the participation of Bahraini youngsters in the major international youth gathering will further enhance their role in highlighting the kingdom’s approach and values through an array of functions spotlighting Bahrain’s history and achievements. The minister listened to a briefing by the Bahraini delegation on the ship’s voyage and the programmes that will be presented by the delegation. The delegation expressed thanks and appreciation to the minister for her support, stressing keenness on representing Bahrain in the best way in this international youth gathering which is considered an opportunity and an ideal platform to enrich their culture, skills and knowledge and promote Bahrain worldwide.
