Hot Wind for Creating Architectural Designs Raised in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) -- A hot wind for creating architectural designs is now in full swing in South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK.

The provincial committee of the Architects Union of Korea has paid deep attention to widening the vision of architectural designers and creators while purposefully conducting the work to implant the Party's Juche-oriented idea on architecture in its members.

The May 21 Architectural Festival, several exhibitions and short courses helped actively exchange and share the experience gained in preserving the Juche character and national character, retaining originality and convenience and ensuring practicality and functionality in architectural design.

Officials and designers of the South Hwanghae Provincial Designing Institute are designing rural villages well preserving the characteristics of the agricultural province and high-rise buildings with convenience and formative art.

Teachers, postgraduate students, designers and working people of different units, including Hwangnam University of Technology and the South Hwanghae provincial urban construction brigade, are directing big efforts to the design of various structures, construction tools and equipment. -0-
