HRH The Deputy King meets with the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain

Manama, Oct. 11 (BNA): The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today met with the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, HE Alastair Long, at Gudaibiya Palace.

His Royal Highness highlighted the historic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, which are based on solid foundations and strategic partnerships.

The Deputy King emphasised the Kingdom’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations to achieve mutual aspirations.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad welcomed the Ambassador and wished him success in performing his diplomatic duties.

The Deputy King highlighted the growing UK-Bahrain multisector collaboration through mutual visits and joint agreements.

His Royal Highness affirmed the importance of promoting peace, security, and prosperity and supporting the Kingdom’s development to benefit all.

The Deputy King highlighted the UK’s pivotal role, alongside allied countries, in safeguarding regional and global security and stability.

During the meeting, regional and global developments, issues of common interest, and ways to further Bahrain-UK cooperation to achieve mutual aspirations were discussed.
