Kyrgyz athletes take part in 2023 World Boxing Championship in Tashkent

Bishkek, May 2, 2023. / Kabar /. The national team of Kyrgyzstan is taking part in the 2023 World Boxing Championship, which started on May 1 in Tashkent, the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan said.

At the tournament, Kyrgyzstan is represented in all thirteen weight categories: Anvarzhan Khodjiev (48 kg), Nurzhigit Dyushebaev (51 kg), Sanjay Seidakmatov (54 kg), Munarbek Seyitbek uulu (57 kg), Mirzohid Imamnazarov (60 kg), Jantoro Tashiev (63 .5 kg), Zhaksylyk Talaibekov (67 kg), Nuradin Rustambek uulu (70 kg), Daniyar Damirdin uulu (75 kg), Omurbek Bekzhigit uulu (80 kg), Erkin Adylbek uulu (86 kg), Bakyt Toktosun uulu (92 kg ), Oomatbek Elchoro uulu (+92 kg).

The opening ceremony of the World Cup took place on April 29 at the Humo Arena complex. It was attended by representatives of boxing teams from more than 100 countries, the leadership of the International Boxing Association (IBA), officials of Uzbekistan.

The legendary disco group Boney M will participate in the entertainment part of the ceremony.
