Kyrgyz Cabinet head holds bilateral talks with deputy PM of Azerbaijan

Bishkek, July 27, 2023. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov held bilateral talks with Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Ahmedov.

According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, during the meeting, the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, and also the implementation of the agreements reached during the mutual visits of the heads of the two states.

Akylbek Zhaparov noted that the results of the mutual visits of the leaders of the two countries last year created the necessary basis for the dynamic development of cooperation.

He also outlined the importance of the meeting of the intergovernmental commission of the two countries, which took place the day before.

“This format of interaction is an effective platform for strengthening and promoting trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between countries,” he said.

In addition, Akylbek Zhaparov paid special attention to the opening of direct regular flights between Bishkek and Baku, as well as the development of relations in the investment and tourism sectors.

The chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers expressed confidence that the expected practical launch of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Development Fund will give a new impetus to trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.

In turn, Ali Ahmedov conveyed greetings on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev to President Sadyr Zhaparov, and also expressed his readiness to support projects in all areas of bilateral cooperation and confirmed his intention to proceed to the implementation of the agreements reached following the results of high-level visits.
