Kyrgyzstan to launch construction of Asman city on June 30

Bishkek, May 31, 2023. /Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov announced that he would lay a capsule at the construction site of the city of Asman on June 30. He stated this at the opening of a new park in Cholpon-Ata.

According to him, it took 1.5 years to prepare the documentation and the project.

“From 500,000 to 700,000 people will live in the future city. The total area of the city is 4 thousand hectares. The construction will be financed by external investors - foreign companies,” Sadyr Zhaparov said.

The city is intended to become an economic and tourist center of the country, which will provide for the introduction of an advanced educational system, the construction of modern health and business centers, stadiums, the placement of high-tech parks, as well as the presence of financial and credit institutions, etc.

The construction of a conceptually new city within 4 thousand hectares of area will cost less than the renovation of a functioning one. The industrial infrastructure will be based on high-tech developments of the smart city class with extensive use of alternative energy sources, optimal consumption of resources and resources, environmentally friendly modes of transport, as well as in compliance with the principles of a green economy.
