Kyrgyzstani boxer wins bronze at World Championship for first time in country's history

Bishkek, May 16, 2023. / Kabar /. Munarbek Seyitbek uulu won a bronze medal at the World Boxing Championship in Uzbekistan, the National Olympic Committee reported.

According to the committee, the Kyrgyzstani won 4 consecutive victories over athletes from Puerto Rico, Thailand, Mexico, and Tajikistan and reached the semifinals.

This medal is the first in Kyrgyzstan in the history of adult world championships.

Munarbek Seyitbek uulu took part in joint international training camps in Nancy (France) from March 6 to March 18, 2023 as part of the national boxing team of the Kyrgyz Republic together with national teams of countries such as France, Belgium, Poland, Hungary, Uzbekistan and Armenia with the support of the National Olympic Committee. The training camp was held in preparation for the World Boxing Championship.
