12 new coronavirus cases reported in Kyrgyzstan. 228 in total

Bishkek, Apr. 7, 2020 / Kabar /. 12 new coronavirus infection cases were confirmed in Kyrgyzstan, Minister of Health of the country Sabirzhan Abdikarimov told a news briefing.
According to his data, 3 of them are men and 9 are women. All of them are from Osh oblast and were under medical observation.
“Many of them are medical workers, one contact with a person who returned from a small Umrah from Saudi Arabia. They all have no symptoms of the disease, but the tests showed a positive result,” the minister said.
Thus, to date cases of COVID-19 infection in Kyrgyzstan have increased to 228.
A state of emergency has been introduced in Kyrgyzstan in some cities and regions from March 25 till April 15, 2020 to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection in the country.
The health minister noted that the epidemiological situation in the country remains tense. “There are 8 more days, it is too early to talk about the lifting or extension of the quarantine and the state of emergency. This will depend on how the epidemiological situation develops in the country. Depending on this, we will make a proposal to the Republican headquarters, which will decide,” he explained.
