170 facilities opened and upgraded in Osh Oblast by Russia over past 3 years

Osh, Feb.12, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Osh Oblast summed up the results of the 3-year Integrated Development of Osh Oblast project, funded by the Russian Federation.
The 3-year Integrated Development of Osh Oblast program with a budget of $ 3.7 million was implemented in close cooperation with the leadership and local communities of Osh Oblast in three pilot regions: Uzgen, Nookat and Kara-Kulja.
During this time, more than 193 thousand residents, including all members of the community in the three pilot regions and local communities have benefited from the results of the programs, and 173 projects worth about US$3 million have been launched.
For 3 years Russia has financed opening and upgrading of 12 production enterprises, 34 objects of social and economic infrastructure, 5 objects of irrigation systems, 28 objects of drinking water supply system, 7 objects of pasture infrastructure, 20 objects of income generating activity for youth, 13 objects of tourist business, 15 objects with use of renewable energy sources and many other things.
Further, journalists were able to familiarize with activity of mobile hospital of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, Financial Literacy Center at Osh Technological University, honey-packing shop in Osh city.
All the above mentioned projects were implemented with financing from the Russian Federation through UNDP in the Kyrgyz Republic in cooperation with national partners.
