28% of total COVID-19 cases in Kyrgyzstan are imported

Bishkek, June 11, 2020. /Kabar/. At a briefing today, Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev provided statistics as of 10:00 a.m. on June 11.
According to his information, of the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, 28% are imported and 72% are local cases.
Of these, 75.2 % recovered, 1.2 % died and 23.7 % are receiving treatment.
"The epidemiological situation was sluggish, but remained tense. Gradually, the number of cases decreased, but when we started to return our compatriots from abroad, the number of cases of coronavirus increased, the rate of growth increased. Over the past week, the growth rate has been declining, but the situation remains tense," Usenbayev said.
The deputy minister stressed the importance of observing sanitary norms at the moment.
"We continue to resume our economic activity, there are a lot of opportunities for movement, checkpoints are being prepared for the opening and it becomes important to observe the established order, so that we do not get a surge of this infection," he recalled.
