40 more Kyrgyz students arrive in Bishkek from China

Bishkek, Feb.13, 2020. /Kabar/. The first bus with Kyrgyz students studying in China has arrived in Kyrgyzstan from Kazakhstan through the Akzhol-Avtodorozhnyi checkpoint, the press service of the Kyrgyz Border Service reported on Thursday. "Thanks to the assistance of the Kazakh side, 40 students - citizens of Kyrgyzstan have arrived today, Feb.13 at the airport of Almaty (Kazakhstan) by flight Beijing-Almaty. Then, the students have arrived in Kyrgyzstan by bus, which was specially sent from Bishkek. After being checked with a thermal imaging camera, the boys and girls passed the border control," the report says. All students have a satisfactory state of health. Further, in accordance with the algorithm, developed by the Ministry of Health, Kyrgyz citizens who arrived from China were sent to temporary observation points for quarantine. Kyrgyz students were located in China’s Urumqi and could not fly home on previously purchased air tickets due to the closure of the border and the cancellation of air service with China.
