About 43 thsd Kyrgyz citizens evacuated since beginning of pandemic

Bishkek, May 19, 2020 / Kabar/. 42 thousand 754 people crossed the state borders of Kyrgyzstan from March 19 to this day, First Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Boronov told a news briefing.
According to his data, the number of citizens leaving the Kyrgyz Republic amounted to 39 thousand 917 people. Of these, 24 thousand 610 people are citizens of other countries. From April 17 to May 18, 3 thousand 531 citizens arrived in the country by 17 flights and 6 buses. 124 people among them have been tested positive for COVID-19.
“It is worth noting here that the number of imported cases of coronavirus increased due to citizens arriving from the city of Sol-Iletsk (Russia) - 104 cases. They are all taken under observation and undergo appropriate treatment,” he said.
Boronov informed that every citizen who crossed the border of the Kyrgyz Republic, according to the algorithm of actions to combat coronavirus and prevent its spread, should be tested. All arrivals are necessarily tested, and only after identifying their results, it is decided to send them to home quarantine or for observation.
