Akylbek Abdykalykov awarded Asian World Film Festival prize for Best Male Role

Bishkek. Nov. 2, 2018. /Kabar/. The 4th Asian World Film Festival drew to an end in Los Angeles. The closing ceremony of the film festival took place at the ArcLight Cinema, where the winners were announced.
In his welcome speech, film festival originator Sadyk Sher-Niyaz thanked the film festival team, sponsors and the Mayor of Culver City for their support.
He also noted that the film festival annually gathers its friends and like-minded people, who together make great work. This film festival gives hope to many filmmakers from all over Asia. For many, the film festival has truly become a window into the big world of cinema, he shared.
Film director, screenwriter and member of the jury of the 4th Asian Film Festival Dalmira Tilepbergenova, told that the award for the Best Male Role was awarded to People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Abdykalykov for the main role in the feature film directed by Temir Biernazarov "Night Accident" .
The film festival kicked off on October 24, 2018. Every year the film festival shows the best films of Asian countries, most of which were nominated for the Oscar and Golden Globe film awards.
The film festival was originated in 2015 by film director, screenwriter, producer, public figure and deputy the Kyrgyz Parliament Sadyk Sher-Niyaz and organizes the screening of the best films of the Asian region recognition of and to draw attention to the high level of cinematographers of the Asian region, strengthen the relationship between the Asian and Hollywood film industry.
