All country’s state bodies work in reinforced regime to prevent import of coronavirus, Health Ministry

Bishkek, Feb.21, 2020. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, all state bodies are taking measures to prevent the import of Covid-19 (novel coronavirus) into the country, Health Minister Kosmosbek Cholponbayev told reporters.
The minister added the bodies are working in a reinforced regime.
"The issue of preventing the import of the virus, the outbreak of which took place in the city of Wuhan in China, is under the control of President Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev.
For today 75 thousand 204 people worldwide fell ill with the new coronavirus, 98% of them are in China. The mortality rate is 2006, 3 of them outside China. In total 16 thousand people were cured. The coronavirus has also affected 21 countries of the world," the health minister said.
Cholponbayev noted the symptoms of Covid-19 coronavirus are much like a common cold or flu.
"A person has a feeling of fatigue, difficulty breathing, high fever, cough and sore throat. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia. It takes up to 14 days for symptoms to manifest, with a minimum period of only 2 days. Severe acute respiratory illness caused by the new coronovirus refers to viral infections. There are known 40 types of coronoviruses, only 7 of which can affect a person," Cholponbayev said.
