Azerbaijani MP: Eurovision song contest is humanitarian event

Azerbaijan, Baku, May 24 / Trend M. Aliyev / The Eurovision song contest in Azerbaijan is a humanitarian event, Parliamentary Committee on Culture official Rafael Huseynov told Trend today. He said that if dozens of countries around the world unite for friendship, dialogue, good neighborliness and general holiday in another country, it is an event that serves for globalization and to bring people together. Even big countries envy Azerbaijan holding the contest, he said. Huseynov said he has repeatedly witnessed envy toward Azerbaijan as a member of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, and not only in the CE, but also in other international organizations.
