Bahrain interested in importing meat and agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Oct. 11, 2019. / Kabar /. On Oct. 9, 2019, during the visit of Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Anwar Yusuf Al-Abdullah to the Kyrgyz Republic, he met with Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Sanjar Mukanbetov. According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, during the meeting the parties discussed the current state of trade and economic cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting the need to intensify cooperation in this direction. In this regard, the ambassador expressed interest in importing meat and agricultural products in general, and noted that Bahrain could become a window for the Kyrgyz Republic in the Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia. At the same time, the ambassador also informed about the absence of taxes for foreign investors to conduct business. Also during the meeting, such areas of interaction between the two countries as investment, financial and cultural-humanitarian were discussed. The parties discussed the issue of expanding the legal framework, concluding an Agreement on trade and economic cooperation in the near future.
