Bishkek Mayor Aziz Surakmatov visits Moscow

Bishkek, Nov.19, 2019. /Kabar/. At the invitation of the Government of Moscow, Delegation of Bishkek Mayor's Office took part in the consultation visit to Moscow on key issues of urban planning. The delegation, headed by Mayor Aziz Surakmatov, comprised of Deputy of Bishkek City Council Zhumabek Salymbekov, Deputy Mayor for Property and Transport Azizbek Alymkulov, the press service of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office reported. Minister of the Moscow City Government Sergey Cheremin met the Kyrgyz delegation at the Moscow Mayor’s Office, where the issues of further cooperation were discussed. The Bishkek Mayor’s Office delegation held intensive consultations on new information technologies used in public transport, parking, advertising, school education. Particular interest was aroused by the mathematical model of traffic jams solution in Bishkek, created by the MosTransProject design institute. The model will allow to reduce the load on the highways by 12%, to increase passenger traffic by 20%, to reduce the accident rate by 15%. Surakmatov also got acquainted with the work of the Moscow Parking, which organized parking spaces, annually replenishes the budget of Moscow in the amount of over RUB 26 billion, all funds are directed to the improvement of the city. Also, the delegation got acquainted with the work of the Department of Mass Media and Advertising, which leads a unified advertising policy and through the electronic auction creates advertising space with an income of RUB 9 billion annually to the city budget. The head of the Bishkek municipality also visited the No. 1560 School of New Technologies "Leader", which teaches schoolchildren under the program Moscow Electronic School program. Bishkek Mayor Surakmatov was presented with Russian-made electric buses.
