Border reps of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan hold working meetings

Bishkek, Dec.30, 2019 /Kabar/. Border representatives of Kyrgyz-Tajik, as well as Kyrgyz-Uzbek held working meetings, the press service of the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan said Monday.
The meetings took place at the Kyrgyz-Tajik and Kyrgyz-Uzbek sections of the state borders at the initiative of Kyrgyzstan.
The border representatives of the three states summed up the activities of border representatives for 2019 and approved plans for cooperation for 2020.
Heads of the border guard posts specified the tasks of joint patrolling of the undescribed sections of the state border.
Soldiers of the three states were also tasked with stepping up efforts to prevent offences at the state border, and cooperating effectively in resolving emerging issues at the section of the border.
“Our task is to strengthen cooperation between border outposts guarding the joint Kyrgyz-Tajik and Kyrgyz-Uzbek state borders. Thanks to such exercises, the servicemen are developing a mechanism for rapid response to changes in the situation on the state border, and determining the procedure for joint actions," Batken Frontier Detachment chief, Colonel Kyyalbek Tolonbayev said.
A working meeting with Tajik border guards ended in a mini-football tournament, the press service of the State Border Service reported.
