Chief of Kyrgyz General Staff participates in DefExpo 2020 int’l exhibition in India

Bishkek, Feb.6, 2020. /Kabar/. Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan Rayimberdi Duishenbiev took part in the “Defense Expo 2020” international defense industry exhibition in Lucknow, India. According to the press service of the Kyrgyz General Staff, the opening ceremony of the exhibition, which brought together about 50 delegations of defense ministries of various countries and about 700 representatives of world and Indian defense enterprises, was headed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As part of the exhibition, Rayimberdi Duishenbiev held bilateral meeting with India’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to bilateral military cooperation, in particular, creation of joint expert working group as a practical mechanism for comprehensive planning of mid-term strategy, projects on military-technical cooperation and others. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to India Asein Isaev also participated in the meeting. Defexpo India is the largest showcase for new and future defence technology and it is the largest exhibition for the world's defense companies to display their land, sea and air capabilities at a single exhibition.
