Culture Minister Jamankulov meets with reps of Kyrgyz diaspora in Russia

Bishkek, Dec.16, 2019. /Kabar/. Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic Azamat Jamankulov Friday, Dec. 13 held meeting with compatriots and representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora public associations living in Russia. The meeting took place in Moscow within the framework of the Kyrgyz culture minister’s working visit to the Russian Federation, the press service of the Culture Ministry said. Representatives of the diaspora were able to address questions to the minister, and told about their initiatives, aimed at developing and preserving national traditions and cultural values. In addition, they familiarized Minister Jamankulov with the activities of the diaspora and presented the cultural program. The minister noted that he was glad to meet his compatriots who strive to preserve the national culture. During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the issues of cultural development, participation of all citizens living outside the country in this process. At the end of the event, Azamat Jamankulov presented the most active representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora ministerial awards and the Ministry’s letters of commendation for their contribution to the development and promotion of culture.
