Epidemiological situation in Kyrgyzstan is improving - deputy health minister

Bishkek, May 13, 2020 / Kabar/. The epidemiological situation in Kyrgyzstan is improving, Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurbolot Usenbaev told Wednesday. He noted that only 7 new cases of coronavirus were detected per day. Usenbaev said that all sources of infection have been identified. “These are all contact persons. We identified cases during the study,” he said. The deputy minister added that one of the 7 newly identified cases is a trucker, and three cases are family contact. Nurbolot Usenbaev said that 70% had practically recovered and were discharged from hospitals. A total of 1,044 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Kyrgyzstan, 726 of them have been recovered and discharged from hospitals, 1,555 people infected with the novel coronavirus are still under medical observation, 12 have passed away.
