Floral Boats At 'Floria Putrajaya 2012'

PUTRAJAYA, July 2 (Bernama) -- Boats were decorated with colourful lights and designs based on flora and fauna at the '1Malaysia International Tourism Night Floral Parade 2012'. The parade was organised in conjunction with 'Floria Putrajaya 2012' held at the Waterfront, Putrajaya Lake in Precinct 2 here Saturday night. The parade themed 'Magic of The Night' saw participation from Malaysian states of Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Perlis, Sarawak, Sabah and Terengganu, as well as Langkawi Island Development Authority and Putrajaya Corporation. Two foreign representatives were also taking part in this year's parade, namely from China and Africa. The 'Floria Putrajaya 2012' is being held for nine days beginning Saturday, themed 'Bougainvillea-Enduring Beauty'. The event displays more than 400,000 trees of various species and cultured flowers and plants, and decorative plants from tropical and sub-tropical regions. (photoBERNAMA) MALAYSIA
