French ambassador: Our large enterprises will enter Kyrgyz market

Osh, June 8, 2020. /Kabar/. Mayor of Kyrgyzstan's Osh city Taalaibek Sarybashov held Monday meeting with French Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Michael Roux. During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation in economic development and tourism. In his welcoming speech, Mayor Sarybashov expressed readiness for fruitful cooperation in social and economic spheres with French investors, stressing that the city leadership will provide all possible assistance and support. In turn, Ambassador Michael Roux expressed confidence that the largest French enterprises can soon enter the Kyrgyz market, having opened own branches here. "We plan to develop cooperation in the development of airport infrastructure, in the production of building materials, light industry and trade," said the ambassador. In the course of the meeting, an initiative to develop twin-city relations between the city of Osh and homonymous city of Auch in France was expressed. Despite the fact that France's Auch is much smaller than the city of Osh in Kyrgyzstan, the two cities have much in common: both are famous for their gastronomy, developed agriculture, have good tourism potential and an ancient history. It is noted that cooperation in this area will also continue.
